Hüper Optik® Helps Singapore Oldest Museum Protect Its Investment.
The National Museum of Singapore (NAMOS) is Singapore’s oldest museum located at the heart of the city within the famous Orchard shopping belt. With a rich history dating back to 1887, NAMOS building has been closed since 2003 for redevelopment under Singapore’s conservation of built heritage program. NAMOS was selective and stringent in choosing & deciding the interior renovation plans including the new building materials.
To protect its investment on the new parquet flooring and invaluable exhibits and artifacts against fading caused by UV and heat from sunlight penetrating through the glass windows, NAMOS took up the retrofitting consultants’ advice to install window films on the original glass panels of the French windows.
Hüper Optik® Singapore was one of the window film companies to be invited for the tender. Only after much deliberation and evaluation, the contract for the supply and installation was awarded to Hüper Optik®Singapore using Ceramic 40.
NAMOS was not only impressed with the excellent performance of Hüper Optik® nano-ceramic window films which offer high heat and UV rejection yet with low reflectivity, they were actually particularly pleased with the neutral grey shades of the ceramic films that blend in naturally with the original grayish tinted glass panels of the French windows. The films also greatly reduce the sun glare providing visible comfort to their visitors.
Hüper Optik® is proud to play a part in the conservation of an important heritage in Singapore’s history. Undoubtedly, this is another milestone and mark of affirmation for Hüper Optik®.
